Education and Experience
Allison has been a long-time resident of Simcoe County, having grown up there and then practising law in the area since 2012. In 2004, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree, majoring in Psychology, from Queen’s University. In 2007, Allison fulfilled her childhood dream and graduated with a law degree from Queen’s University. Allison has been practising law since 2008 with family law being her primary focus since being called to the Ontario Bar.
Allison was a part of Galbraith Family Law, before venturing out to become the co-founder and managing partner of a successful start-up law firm. After this venture, she spent a year and a half on sabbatical and is delighted to be rejoining Galbraith Family Law in 2024 with a renewed energy and focus for helping clients solve their family law matters.
Approach to Family Law
Allison’s goal in representing a client is to resolve their case in the most cost-effective and amicable manner possible while achieving a fair and reasonable result. Allison brings a genuine empathetic understanding to her client’s situation – she wants to make sure her clients and their goals are heard and addressed in the process. Allison seeks to empower her clients to regain control in their lives despite the family law issues they are experiencing and, together, to help her clients move forward in a positive direction.
Personal Life
In her spare time, Allison enjoys playing baseball and hockey, camping, hiking and
travelling.
