Michael Austin is a family law lawyer with Galbraith Family Law. He earned his law degree from Middlesex University in London, England, graduating in 2021, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2024. Before his legal career, Michael worked in personal banking and financial advising, developing a strong understanding of the financial realities that shape family law matters. He now leverages that knowledge to guide clients through property division, support arrangements, and long-term financial planning after separation or divorce. His practice emphasizes clarity, preparation, and durable, practical solutions.
Michael aims to build resilience through consistent discipline, whether in his legal practice, on the soccer field, or in his personal pursuits. He strives for balance and perspective, approaching challenges with both steady focus and an eye to the bigger picture. Over the long term, his goal is to contribute meaningfully to the communities he serves, leaving a legacy of impact through his work and leadership.
Outside the office, Michael is a devoted soccer fan and has supported Arsenal since 1998. He enjoys both watching and playing the game, valuing the mix of strategy, teamwork, and discipline it requires. He is also a fan of strategy games that challenge his love of planning and foresight. Clients often find his approachable nature, sense of humour, and calm presence reassuring during difficult times.
At Galbraith Family Law, we work as a team to support our clients. While each lawyer and staff member has their own role, we collaborate to ensure cases move forward efficiently and effectively. Our focus is always on practical solutions that allow clients to navigate family law matters with confidence.
If you need experienced legal support, we are here to help.
