Sandra Majic

Education and Practicing Experience

In 1990, Sandra obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, with first class standing, from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, majoring in English, with a minor in History. Receiving a scholarship in 1991, Sandra continued her studies at McMaster University, earning a Master’s degree in English. She then enrolled at the University of Ottawa, where she received her law degree and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998.

Sandra honed her negotiating and litigating skills working at other firms, as corporate counsel, as well as at her own firm for ten years.

During this time, Sandra appeared before numerous Boards of Arbitration, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Pay Equity Commission, the Ontario Human Rights Commission, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Provincial Offences Court, Small Claims Court, central and local bargaining. Exposure to these other areas of law convinced Sandra that she was most invested in the practice of family law.

Sandra has attracted a strong referral base for her family law practice as a result of her direct and efficient approach to negotiating realistic resolutions to difficult cases. Clients engaged in family law disputes will equally benefit from Sandra’s skilled and tenacious representation before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court, the Unified Family Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Sandra’s goal is to obtain and employ common-sense solutions while maintaining a standard of excellence that caters to the specific needs of each client.
