What proof is needed for inheritance?

If I have inheritance – money and gifts given to me during marriage how do I prove they are mine besides the person’s letter stating that it is my inheritance. Where is it allowed to be used to be able to claim it back?

Answer

The will or a letter or some kind of documentation showing that it was a the gift or inheritance. If it is a gift from someone alive, they can do an sworn affidavit. Sometimes people will have a card that was given with the gift that can be used as evidence.
