I’m having a major difficulty with my 16 year old son and would like to find a way for him not to live in my house – it’s that bad now. How do I go about this legally and so that he is looked after as well? I want to kick him out of my house but want to do it the right way.

My ex-wife informed me recently that she may be dissolving the relationship with her common-law partner of 7 years (the guy she left me for!!). We have two children together and shared custody 50/50. The kids also have shared time with mum and dad 50/50. She doesn’t work, her income is the support payment plus the child tax credit every month. Her common-law partner works. They rent the house that they live in. His income is unknown to me. I understand she can claim spousal support from him and potentially child support from him.
We have a separation agreement set in place by your company. I currently pay child support and Alimony that total $900 a month.my average earnings for the last 3 years $68k.
I pay for kids medical & extra curricular activities. Her alimony payment finishes in November of this year. I have informed her that the children can reside with me full time until she re-establishes herself.
If they do decide to split what extra $ is she entitled to claim from me???

My girlfriend bought a home before she was married; then later on married; she is now separated after 18 years of marriage. He has put in ‘sweat equity’ during the time on the home and property. He said he deserves a portion of this. She asked me whom is right. I don’t know as I ‘m not a lawyer.
There are no children; just pensions. He has moved out and renting a place; she is still in the paid for home.

I just found out my daughter has been smoking pot. My home is my children’s primary residence and they visit their father every other weekend where he lives with his common law wife and her two children.
Now I know that teenagers will be teenagers and they experiment. But I found out my daughter was smoking pot because my ex-Husband called to tell me he found her with a pipe and she was high at dinner. Upon deeper discussion with my daughter I did find out this was true but I also found out that a year prior my ex-husband and his common law wife purchased pot so that his step daughter, step son and my daughter could try it in a safe environment rather then with the wrong people. What legal right do I have? How can I trust the judgement of my ex-husband that he won’t also do something similar with my younger daughter?

Does a wife have rights in Canada if she is able to prove infidelity? Can she sue the mistress for interference in the marriage if there is proof of such? And win?
